GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION
Other than units that have replaceable batteries, there are no user-serviceable parts inside your device. If you conclude that your device is not functioning correctly, it must be returned to PAS Systems International for service. We realize the importance of having a unit available when you need it most. Every day your unit is out of service negatively impacts your business. Therefore, it is our goal to always strive to provide the fastest turnaround times possible.
If your unit is under warranty, it will be serviced, calibrated and returned to you.
If your unit is out of warranty, it will be evaluated by a service technician and you will be provided with a service estimate for your approval, prior to any work being conducted. While we do our best to provide an accurate quote, some
In addition to the cost of parts, each repair will incur a service fee which includes calibration of the device in addition to the performance of the necessary repairs. Alcovisor Professional Series and Passive Alcohol Sensors will include a Certificate of Calibration.

STANDARD WARRANTY INFORMATION
ENTRY POINT SCREENING DEVICES
PAS Systems International warrants to the buyer that all new equipment purchased through PAS Systems, or one of our authorized distributors, will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a minimum period of twelve (12) months from original invoice date.
PAS Systems assumes no risk for damage to the unit in transit to/from PAS. If PAS Systems determines that a defect was outside of, or not covered under the warranty, PAS will estimate repair and service charges and obtain the buyer’s authorization prior to conducting any work to repair the defective equipment.
ALCOVISOR PROFESSIONAL ALCOHOL BREATH TESTERS
PAS Systems International warrants to the buyer that all new equipment purchased through PAS Systems, or one of our authorized distributors, will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a minimum period of twelve (12) months from original invoice date.
The warranty does not apply to consumables or supplies (i.e. batteries, mouthpieces, printer paper) nor any damage which has in PAS Systems Service Dept. opinion, been the result of misuse, alteration, accident or abnormal conditions of operation or handling. The warranty is void if the warranty sticker on the unit shows signs of tampering.
PAS Systems assumes no risk for damage to the unit in transit to/from PAS. PAS System’s shall not be responsible for any custom configuration information or memory data of customer information contained in or stored on any products returned to PAS pursuant to any warranty, repair or recertification.
PASSIVE ALCOHOL SENSORS
PAS Systems International warrants to the buyer that all new equipment purchased through PAS Systems, or one of our authorized distributors, will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a minimum period of twelve (12) months from original invoice date. Passive devices carry a 2-year warranty on the fuel cell.
Warranties are non-transferable.
PERSONAL USE BREATH ALCOHOL TESTERS
When used for personal consumer use, the MARS, MARS BT, Satellite & Click come with a 90 day limited parts and labor warranty, effective on the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover batteries or accessories. The warranty does not cover freight to the service facility, misuse or abuse of the product. Upon receipt of a defective instrument that is still within the warranty period (receipt from purchase required) we will at our discretion (1) repair the instrument; or (2) replace the instrument. If the instrument is repaired, the service facility will pay for shipment back to the customer (within the Continental USA only). Warranty is void if the unit is found to have been tampered with. CALIBRATION SERVICE
Like any other analytical instrument, breath alcohol detectors need routine calibration to ensure their accuracy. PAS recommended calibration intervals:
- Alcovisor Professional Series: Recommended yearly or when 2 consecutive accuracy checks are not within tolerance limits
- Passive Alcohol Sensors: Recommended yearly, or more frequently if the unit appears to be losing sensitivity
- Personal Use units: Every 90 days or 200 tests
- Entry Point: Yearly calibration is recommended
Because precise calibration is crucial, it can be performed only by PAS Systems International or by persons who have been properly trained for alcohol detector calibration.

If using the pre-pay option below for calibration service, please print a copy of your order receipt and include it with your unit to be calibrated. If it is determined that your unit cannot be correctly calibrated, you will be notified to discuss further options.

SERVICE SHIPPING INFORMATION
Instructions for sending in your unit for service:
- PAS Systems is not responsible for any custom configuration information or memory data of customer information contained in or stored on any PAS product. PAS recommends the downloading of all memory and test data prior to sending your unit in for service or repairs.
- Carefully package the unit in a heavy duty corrugated shipping box ensuring the contents inside are adequately protected.
- DO NOT include dry gas cylinders. These items are hazmat and can only be shipped by those with proper certification.
- We recommend choosing a shipping option that offers insurance and tracking of your unit.
- When returning your unit for service, please include your contact name, return address, email (and phone number) and a description of the problem for which you are requesting service
